The Reasons:

  1. Make up for all the haircuts I've not had over the past year.
  2. Freak people out.
  3. Stay true to form of doing strange, unusual and often pointless things.
  4. Check that I don't have any strange roman numerals on my scalp. I don't want to miss my calling.
  5. Make sure the coffee mug I lost last week is not in there.
  6. Find out if I have any parasitic organisms that have been draining my energy.
  7. Resolve the itchy scalp problem I've had since I was 21 when I spent 11 hour / day for four months in a "cave" revising for my bachelor's degree.
